This is the story of Los Angeles private detective Peter Magnum. Magnum spends his days in pursuit of bringing bad guys to justice, and his nights in the beds of some very good girls. Magnum may like to toy with the ladies, but his heart belongs to only one woman, Andrea Longet, whose untimely death was caused by a vengeful psychopath named Ellis Hyde. The story follows Magnum sometimes accompanied by Lt. George Lee as he tries to unravel Andrea's murder case. Meanwhile his intentions turn steamy, as every girl in town wants what Magnum has. Although he succumbs to some irresistible temptations along the way, he manages to remain focused enough to solve the crime. Peter Magnum picks up where Johnny Wadd left off. One thing both characters have in common-they always get the bad guy-and they always get the girl, good or bad
